tailplane bracket

hello
the steel bracket on the tailplane which connects via two spigots on the fin has become worn. one of the two holes that the spigots go through has slightly elongated allowing the tailplane to move up and down by about a quarter inch.
it clearly is not seviceable.
the uk agent seems to be having difficulty getting the part.
any leads on a new part?
alternatively has anyone had the same problem and found a fix - eg machining the hole and inserting a top hat bush?
any help much appreciated
